Jiangsu Province reported a steady rise in entry-exit trips in the first half of the year.
Border inspection agencies across the coastal province recorded 30,200 inbound and outbound aircraft and vessels with 2.387 million passenger trips, up 6.8% and 5.5% year-on-year, respectively.
Foreign nationals made 223,000 inbound and outbound trips through Jiangsu ports during the same period, marking a 28.3% year-on-year increase. Of these, more than 61,000 were visa-free entries, a 3.4-fold increase compared to the same period last year.
With the arrival of the summer school holidays in July, Jiangsu ports are expected to experience a new wave of inbound and outbound travel.
