Nanjing and Suzhou teams will face off at the Nanjing Olympic Sports Center Stadium on the evening of July 5, a highly anticipated match of the 2025 Jiangsu Football City League. This major football match at the stadium could set a new attendance record.
Nanjing, the capital of Jiangsu Province, held the attendance record for the Chinese Football Association Super League on October 20, 2012, with 65,769 spectators in the Jiangsu vs. Guangzhou match. Since then, only the FIFA World Cup qualifier between China and Australia, held in Hangzhou City of Zhejiang Province on March 25 this year, surpassed the record with 70,588 spectators.
The 2025 Jiangsu Football City League, also known as the "Suchao," features 13 city teams competing across the coastal province. The event has generated strong local participation and captured nationwide attention.
