Jiangsu's infrastructure investment up 8.7% in first five months

From January to May this year, infrastructure investment in Jiangsu Province grew by 8.7% year-on-year. Notably, investment in projects with planned total investments exceeding 500 million yuan and 1 billion yuan increased by 7.2% and 8.8%, respectively.

Investment in the industry category of production and supply of electric power and heat power surged by 58.9% year-on-year during the period. Water transport investment rose by 32.3%, while investment in the internet and related services expanded by 49.4%.

Manufacturing investment grew by 4.1% year-on-year. Among the top 10 manufacturing sectors by investment share, relatively faster growth was recorded in the sectors of communication equipment, computers and other electronic equipment, specialized equipment, automobile, and textiles.
